OpenAI and SoftBank are jointly investing $1 billion in SB Energy to supercharge the rollout of new AI focused data center campuses in the United States. SB Energy will build OpenAI’s first 1.2GW facility in Milam County, with more multi gigawatt projects to follow starting in 2026.
