Cooler Master has unveiled the QUBE 540, a mid-tower case designed to blend creative flexibility with performance in a compact footprint. The case supports vertical or horizontal orientation, letting users adapt it to tight desks, shelves, or studio setups while maintaining airflow and balance. Available in Stardust Iron and Moonstone, the QUBE 540 fits comfortably in modern living spaces, creator workstations, or dorm rooms without looking out of place.

At its core, the QUBE 540 is a modular platform built for personalization. It supports ITX, micro-ATX, ATX, and even E-ATX (up to 280mm wide) motherboards, plus graphics cards up to 415mm and CPU coolers up to 172mm tall. Builders can mount up to three 360mm radiators or multiple 140mm fans, with removable panels and repositionable I/O ports that make cable management and upgrades easier. A tempered glass side panel showcases the build, while dust filters and a 27mm routing gap behind the tray help keep things tidy.
What truly sets this case apart is its embrace of open source customization. Cooler Master provides downloadable 3D printer files so users can print their own add-ons such as brackets, handles, headphone holders, and accent pieces. The company has even partnered with Prusa to make printable accessories more accessible to both new and experienced makers. Cooler Master says this initiative is about letting users design a PC that fits their lifestyle, not the other way around.

Inside, the thoughtful design continues. The QUBE 540 accommodates ATX or SFX power supplies up to 200mm, offers dual USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 and a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2×2 port, and ships with a pre-installed 120mm rear fan. With 7 expansion slots, room for up to five 2.5-inch drives, and strong cooling options, it is clear this chassis was designed to balance practicality with creative freedom.
Personally, I love the QUBE 540’s industrial aesthetic. Its bold geometric form and metal construction feel substantial and authentic, giving off Mac Pro vibes without being a copy. It is a smart, modern interpretation that respects Apple’s design sensibilities but remains unmistakably Cooler Master in attitude and purpose. It’s the only case in recent memory to really pique my interest.

Wei Yang, Cooler Master’s General Manager for North America, summed it up best: “With QUBE 540, you can choose a vertical or horizontal system, move elements to optimize airflow and clearance, and personalize with 3D printable accessories. It is a compact case that invites creativity without adding complexity.”
The Cooler Master QUBE 540 will be available through authorized retailers soon, with regional availability varying. Pricing has not yet been announced.
