Google has rolled out Flight Deals in beta, a new AI-powered addition to Google Flights built for travelers who care most about saving money.
Instead of endlessly testing different dates, destinations, and filters, you can now type a simple description such as “week-long trip this winter to a city with great food, nonstop only” or “10 day ski trip to a world-class resort with fresh powder” and Flight Deals will do the work for you.
The search giant’s AI interprets your request and checks it against real-time Google Flights data from hundreds of airlines and booking sites, surfacing options that match your preferences. The beta launch is happening this week in the U.S., Canada, and India with no sign up required. You can try it from the new Flight Deals page or through the Google Flights menu.
Google Flights itself is staying and it is getting an update that lets travelers in the U.S. and Canada filter out basic economy fares. While the new AI feature could make trip planning faster, some people may still stick with the original search experience for more control.
