Security researchers have uncovered PromptSpy, the first known Android AI malware to abuse Google’s Gemini model for on screen UI manipulation. The malware uses generative AI to keep itself pinned in recent apps, block removal attempts, and deploy a built in VNC module that gives attackers full remote access to infected devices. Android is no longer just fighting scripts and hardcoded taps. It is now facing adaptive AI driven threats.
