This Panasonic indoor pizza oven is the kitchen gadget every pizza-loving nerd will want

There are plenty of countertop ovens that claim to do it all, but Panasonic is betting pizza lovers want something a bit more specialized. Its new FlashXpress Indoor Pizza Oven Plus is built to reach temperatures up to 755 degrees Fahrenheit and promises restaurant-style pizza in as little as three minutes.

If you’re the type of nerd who spends hours tweaking a gaming PC or homelab, chances are you appreciate hardware that serves a specific purpose. This feels like that kind of product.

The FlashXpress Indoor Pizza Oven Plus (NB-G300) uses a carbon infrared heating element above the food and a stainless steel heating element below it to create the high temperatures needed for crispy crusts and bubbling cheese. Panasonic says it supports Neapolitan, New York-style, thin crust, deep dish, and frozen pizzas with dedicated presets that take the guesswork out of cooking.

The appliance isn’t limited to pizza, though. It also functions as an air fryer, oven, broiler, grill, and roaster, giving it a better chance of earning permanent counter space. There’s even a Steak Mode that works with the included cast iron grill pan for high-heat searing indoors.

Panasonic includes just about everything you need to get started, including a pizza stone, pizza peel, air fry basket, cast iron grill pan, wire rack, removable crumb tray, and grill pan handles. The 20-liter interior fits pizzas up to 12 inches, while a PFAS-free enamel coating is designed to make cleanup less of a chore.

I’ll admit it. As a pizza-loving nerd, this is exactly the sort of gadget that catches my attention. I like the idea of getting restaurant-style pizza without dragging an outdoor pizza oven onto the patio or waiting forever for the oven to preheat.

The Panasonic FlashXpress Indoor Pizza Oven Plus is available now for $449.99 on Amazon. For anyone who takes both pizza and gadgets seriously, it looks like a fun addition to the kitchen.
