HP and Ferrari made a $5,600 AI laptop and it is gloriously ridiculous

HP and Ferrari have teamed up on a new luxury AI laptop, and you know what? It might be one of the most excessive PCs we have seen in a while. Called the HP Limited Edition Scuderia Ferrari AI PC, the machine was announced ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix and will sell for an eye-watering $5,599.

Only 4,999 units are being made, which tells you exactly who this product is for. This is not a laptop designed for average people. It is aimed at wealthy collectors, Ferrari superfans, and probably a few influencers that want something flashy sitting behind them during Zoom calls.

To HP’s credit, this does not appear to be a lazy logo-slap collaboration. The companies say they spent nearly two years working together on the design. The laptop features a red CNC-milled chassis finished in Ferrari’s Rosso Magma color, exposed cooling elements inspired by Ferrari engine bays, carbon fiber accents, Gorilla Glass, RGB lighting, and even a glass palm rest.

Yes, a glass palm rest.

Under the hood, the specs are legitimately powerful. The system packs an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor alongside Intel Arc B390 graphics. HP says the machine can deliver up to 180 TOPS of AI performance, because of course everything has to be labeled “AI” in 2026. There is also a 3K Tandem OLED+ touchscreen display and a cooling system with more than 2,000 micro-perforations designed to keep temperatures under control.

HP is also leaning hard into the luxury angle. Each unit is serialized, comes in fancy packaging that theatrically raises the laptop during unboxing, and includes a Poltrona Frau leather sleeve made from the same leather used in Ferrari interiors.

Look, this thing is absurd. But maybe that is the point.

There has always been a market for over-the-top luxury tech, whether it makes sense or not. Some people buy gold-plated phones. Others spend thousands on mechanical keyboards. Compared to that, a Ferrari-branded laptop almost feels inevitable.

The funniest part may be the “AI PC” branding. Let’s be real here. Nobody is buying this because they need local AI workloads. They are buying it because it is red, limited edition, and has a Ferrari logo on it.

The HP Limited Edition Scuderia Ferrari AI PC goes on sale June 12 through HP in the United States and several other countries.
