GMKtec NucBox M7 Ultra mini PC brings AMD PRO power to your desk

GMKtec has launched its most powerful and compact system yet, the NucBox M7 Ultra. This next-generation mini PC is built around AMD’s Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U and offers workstation-class performance in a tiny aluminum chassis that fits in the palm of your hand.

The processor comes from AMD’s Ryzen PRO 6000 Series and features 8 cores and 16 threads using TSMC’s 6nm FinFET process. It runs at a base frequency of 2.7GHz and can reach up to 4.7GHz. The chip includes 512KB of L1 cache, 4MB of L2 cache, and 16MB of L3 cache. Users can switch between three power profiles: Silent mode at 35W, Balanced mode at 45W, and Performance mode at 54W. The Zen 3+ architecture delivers a mix of speed and efficiency that makes this PC ideal for professional workloads and gaming.

Graphics performance comes from the built-in AMD Radeon 680M GPU with 12 cores running at 2200MHz. It supports up to 8K resolution and connects to a front OCuLink port for direct use with external GPU docks. This gives users desktop-level graphics performance for AAA games, 3D modeling, or heavy creative projects.

The NucBox M7 Ultra supports up to 64GB of DDR5 4800MHz memory through two SO-DIMM slots. Storage options include dual M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 slots that can each handle up to 8TB drives for a total of 16TB, along with PCIe 3.0 SSD options preinstalled in 512GB, 1TB, or 2TB capacities.

Connectivity is a strong point for this tiny PC. It includes dual Intel I226-V 2.5G Ethernet ports, Wi-Fi 6E (RZ616), and Bluetooth 5.2. The system supports four displays through HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.0, and dual USB4 ports that each provide DisplayPort 1.4, 100W power delivery, and 40Gbps bandwidth.

The front I/O panel features two USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, one OCuLink connector, one USB4 port, and a power button with a white LED indicator. The rear panel offers two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, DisplayPort, another USB4 port, two 2.5G LAN ports, a DC input, and a security lock slot.

The compact system measures 132 × 125 × 58 mm and weighs just 604 grams bare or 1.54 kilograms packaged. GMKtec includes a VESA mount, HDMI cable, power adapter, manual, and warranty card in the box. The NucBox M7 Ultra comes preloaded with Windows 11 Pro but also supports Linux and Ubuntu for developers and open-source enthusiasts.

The NucBox M7 Ultra is available from GMKtec directly for $309.99, with the top configuration featuring 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD priced at $429.99. Early buyers who purchase before November 9 will receive a free USB hub expansion dock.
