There is no shortage of monitors claiming to deliver accurate colors, but creative professionals know the difference between marketing promises and a display they can actually trust with client work. BenQ hopes its new PD2732U lands firmly in the second category.
The company has introduced the latest addition to its Creative Pro lineup, a 27-inch 4K display aimed at photographers, graphic designers, video editors, and other professionals whose work depends on seeing colors correctly the first time.
The numbers certainly look impressive on paper. The monitor covers 99 percent of the Adobe RGB color space, 99 percent of DCI-P3, and 100 percent of sRGB, allowing creators to move between print projects, web content, and video production without changing displays or constantly worrying about color shifts.
BenQ says every unit ships factory calibrated with an average Delta E below two and includes a calibration report in the box. The display also carries both Calman Verified and Pantone Validated certifications, including Pantone SkinTone validation for more accurate representation of skin tones.

For Mac users, the PD2732U includes a handful of features that could make life easier. M-book Mode is designed to better match the appearance of a MacBook display, while iDevice Color Sync aims to keep colors consistent across iPhones, iPads, and the monitor itself. Users can even control display brightness and volume directly from an Apple keyboard.
Connectivity is another strong point. Thunderbolt 4 support allows video, data, and up to 90W of charging over a single cable, while built-in KVM functionality makes it easier to jump between multiple systems using the same keyboard and mouse. HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, USB-A, and USB-C ports round out the package.
BenQ is also including its wireless Hotkey Puck G3 controller, which provides quick access to color modes and display settings without requiring users to dig through menus every time they switch workflows.
The panel itself offers a 3840 x 2160 resolution, HDR10 support, 400 nits of brightness, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and support for more than one billion colors. Those specifications will not make gamers abandon their high refresh displays, but they should be more than sufficient for creative workloads.
Perhaps the most interesting part of the announcement is the price. At $699, the PD2732U comes in well below some competing professional displays while still checking many of the boxes creative professionals typically look for.
Whether the monitor can truly become the trusted reference display BenQ wants it to be will ultimately be decided by photographers and designers putting it to work in the real world. Still, on paper at least, the company appears to have put together a compelling package.
The BenQ PD2732U is available for preorder now and is scheduled to go on sale July 22 through BenQ and B&H, with wider retail availability arriving September 1.
