Satechi launches colorful accessories made just for Apple MacBook Neo

When Apple launched the MacBook Neo earlier this year, one of its biggest selling points was personality. Between the lower price, bright colors, and simplified design, the laptop felt very different from the more serious MacBook Air and MacBook Pro machines. Now, Satechi wants to lean into that vibe with a new collection of matching accessories.

The company’s new MacBook Neo Collection includes two new USB-C hubs and a wireless mouse, all available in the same Citrus, Blush, Indigo, and Silver finishes offered by Apple’s affordable laptop. Considering the Neo ships with a limited port selection, the timing makes a lot of sense.

MacBook Neo Collection D

The most interesting product in the lineup may be the OntheGo 5-in-1 Multiport Adapter. Priced at $44.99, it adds HDMI output, pass-through charging, USB-A, USB-C, and an SD card reader through a single USB-C connection. Satechi says the accessory can magnetically attach to a MagSafe iPhone or mount directly to the MacBook Neo’s lid using an included adhesive ring, making it feel more like part of the computer than another dongle rattling around in your bag.

MacBook Neo Collection C

Satechi is also introducing the USB-C Snap Hub for $44.99. The company says it designed the accessory specifically around the MacBook Neo’s unusual dual USB-C layout. Unlike traditional hubs that dangle from cables, this one plugs directly into both USB-C ports and sits flush against the side of the laptop. It includes HDMI, USB-A, USB-C, SD, microSD, and pass-through charging support.

MacBook Neo Collection B

Rounding out the collection is the Slim EX Wireless Mouse, which now arrives in matching Neo colors for the first time. The aluminum mouse supports Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless connectivity, features quiet click switches, and works across macOS, Windows, Android, and iPadOS. Pricing starts at $29.99.

I have to admit, I kind of love this idea. Too many accessories ignore the colorful personality of modern devices and default to boring black or gray plastic. If you bought a Citrus or Indigo MacBook Neo because you wanted something fun, these accessories actually look like they belong next to it instead of fighting against the design.

The Satechi MacBook Neo Collection is available now through Amazon in all four color options.
