Hybrid meetings are still kind of a mess in 2026. People drift out of frame, conference room audio sounds hollow, and remote workers often feel like second class participants. That is the problem Kandao Technology hopes to address with its newly announced Kandao Meeting Pro 2.
The all in one conferencing device combines a 360 degree 4K camera system, microphones, speakers, onboard AI processing, and local recording into a single vertical unit. Instead of depending entirely on a connected PC, much of the heavy lifting happens directly on the hardware itself.
Kandao equipped the Meeting Pro 2 with dual 12MP fisheye cameras capable of capturing a full 360 degree view of a room. Video output tops out at 3840 x 2160 resolution at 30fps, with HDR enabled by default across all supported resolutions. That HDR support could matter quite a bit in real world office environments where lighting is often terrible.

The AI features are exactly what you would expect in a modern enterprise product launch, but some of them actually sound useful. Kandao says the device can automatically track speakers using face and voice recognition, intelligently adjust meeting layouts depending on participant count, and keep active speakers centered during discussions.
The company is also heavily promoting its SmartNote feature, which supports live captions and translations in more than 20 languages. After meetings, the system can generate AI summaries, meeting notes, action items, and searchable recaps tied directly to recorded moments in the video timeline.
That last part could genuinely save time. Digging through a long meeting recording to locate one specific conversation is miserable. If the AI accurately links summaries back to the exact discussion point, that is actually practical rather than just AI fluff.

Audio appears to be a major focus too. The Meeting Pro 2 includes an eight microphone array with an 18 foot pickup range alongside AI powered noise reduction and de reverberation. In theory, that should help reduce annoying background sounds like typing, air conditioning noise, and the echo you often hear in glass conference rooms.
Connectivity is surprisingly modern as well. Kandao includes Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, Ethernet, HDMI out, USB-A, and dual USB-C ports. One USB-C connection handles computer connectivity while the second provides power delivery. The device also supports external storage through microSD cards up to 1TB and includes 64GB of onboard storage for local recordings.
One thing Linux folks may appreciate is the broad compatibility approach. Kandao says the Meeting Pro 2 works with major conferencing platforms including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and Slack, alongside other software that supports standard USB camera devices. The operating system requirements officially list Windows 7 or later and macOS 10.8 or later, but USB based conferencing hardware like this often works reasonably well on Linux too, even when vendors do not officially mention it.

Physically, the unit is fairly compact at just under 12 inches tall and weighs under 2 pounds. Kandao also supports expanded microphone setups and multi device deployment for larger conference rooms.
Ultimately, the Meeting Pro 2 does appear to pack quite a bit of hardware into a relatively clean package. The inclusion of onboard recording, expandable storage, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and standalone functionality helps separate it from some of the cheaper webcam style conference devices flooding the market.
The price may raise some eyebrows, however. Kandao says the Meeting Pro 2 will cost $1,099 (available here). For smaller businesses, that is not exactly pocket change, especially when many companies are still trying to cut spending on office hardware and remote work infrastructure.
