Casio is back with another pop culture crossover, and this one leans heavily into Star Wars hype. With The Mandalorian and Grogu hitting theaters soon, the company is rolling out a pair of themed G-SHOCK watches that try to blend fandom with its usual tough watch formula.
The lineup is pretty straightforward. You get a GM2100 model that takes design cues from Mandalorian armor, going for that metallic, almost Beskar-like look. It is rugged and industrial, which honestly fits the G-SHOCK identity pretty well even without the Star Wars tie-in. Then there is a BABY-G BA110 variant in green, clearly inspired by Grogu. It is smaller, a bit more playful, but still built like a proper G-SHOCK.
Casio is also tossing in a collector-focused extra. Each watch includes a “Bounty Hunter ID” card that folds into a display stand using magnets. It is a neat idea, even if it feels more like a desk ornament than something most people actually need. Still, fans will probably appreciate it.
Under the hood, nothing changes. You are getting the same core G-SHOCK features, including shock resistance, solid water resistance, LED lighting, alarms, stopwatch, countdown timer, and world time. That is a good thing. At least these are still functional watches and not just branded gimmicks.
The marketing angle is very on-brand too. Casio is pushing the whole family connection idea, tying it to the relationship between the Mandalorian and Grogu. It is predictable, but it works. Star Wars has always had that cross-generational appeal, and G-SHOCK is clearly trying to tap into that.

That said, I always wonder with these collaborations how much of it is actually necessary. If you already like G-SHOCK, you probably do not need Star Wars branding to justify another watch. And if you are a Star Wars fan, you might buy it anyway just because it exists. That is kind of the point.
Pricing lands where you would expect. The GM2100 version is $220, while the BABY-G comes in at $130. They are available now through G-SHOCK stores and select retailers. If you are into either brand, or just like collecting limited gear, you will probably at least take a look.
