Naväge Dual Action Powered Ear Cleaner promises to wash and dry your ears

Naväge built its reputation on powered nasal irrigation systems, but the company is now moving into another corner of personal hygiene. The newly announced Naväge Dual Action Powered Ear Cleaner takes a similar rinse based concept and applies it to ear care, aiming to remove wax buildup and then dry the ear canal afterward.

The device uses controlled water pressure to flush out earwax. After the rinse cycle finishes, it switches to a warm air drying mode that ranges from 98.6°F to 109.4°F. Naväge says the goal is to avoid that annoying wet ear feeling that can happen after cleaning, while also reducing the kind of lingering moisture that can sometimes lead to swimmer’s ear discomfort.

Users can choose from five electronic rinse modes, which are designed to keep pressure gentle while still moving water through the ear canal. The company says this allows people to find a setting that feels comfortable rather than blasting water into the ear. Soft silicone tips are used to guide the rinse, and the unit includes a clear waste tank so users can actually see the water and debris that gets flushed out.

The gadget is also designed with convenience in mind. It is waterproof, relatively quiet, and safe to use in the shower. The cleaner runs on a rechargeable battery and charges over USB, so it can be used at home or packed in a travel bag if needed.

Naväge worked with Dr. Howard Levine, Director of the Cleveland Nasal and Sinus Center and the company’s medical director, while developing the product. He says earwax buildup is common and can be influenced by everything from age to daily use of earbuds or hearing aids. The device is meant to rinse away debris and then dry the ear canal so moisture does not stick around afterward.

Whether people actually want a powered ear cleaning device is another matter. Plenty of folks already have simple routines that involve drops or other low tech methods. Still, Naväge clearly believes there is room for a more automated approach, especially among people who already use its nasal irrigation systems.

The Naväge Dual Action Powered Ear Cleaner is available now at Walmart.com and in select Walmart stores nationwide for about $55.
