Acer TravelMate P4 and P2 Copilot+ laptops bring Intel Core Ultra Series 3 and vPro to business users

Acer has introduced a new wave of TravelMate laptops aimed squarely at the corporate crowd, and yes, AI is once again part of the pitch. The company unveiled four new Copilot+ PCs powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors: the TravelMate P4 14 AI, TravelMate P4 Spin 14 AI, TravelMate P2 16 AI, and TravelMate P2 14 AI. These machines are designed for businesses that want on device AI capabilities while still prioritizing the usual enterprise concerns such as security, manageability, and battery life.

At the center of the lineup are Intel Core Ultra processors, including options like the Core Ultra 7 365, Core Ultra 7 356H, and Core Ultra 5 322. Select configurations will also support Intel vPro, giving IT departments remote management tools and hardware level security features. In other words, the kind of stuff that makes life easier for administrators managing fleets of laptops across an organization.

Acer is also leaning heavily into the Copilot+ PC concept introduced with Windows 11. The idea is that these machines can run certain AI workloads locally thanks to the built in neural processing units found in the newer Intel chips. Whether employees actually benefit from all those AI tools remains to be seen, but vendors clearly believe businesses want them.

Connectivity and modern workplace features are another big focus here. All four TravelMate models include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and Thunderbolt 4 ports. Acer also bundles its AI enhanced video and audio tools, including PurifiedVoice noise reduction and PurifiedView video improvements, which are designed to make video meetings sound and look cleaner.

Security remains a core part of the TravelMate formula. The new models include a discrete TPM module, fingerprint authentication, a physical webcam shutter, and an optional chassis intrusion alarm that can notify users if someone opens the laptop case without authorization. Since these are Copilot+ PCs, they also meet Microsoft’s Secured core PC requirements, which protect hardware, firmware, and the operating system.

The TravelMate P4 models are the more premium offerings. The clamshell TravelMate P4 14 AI weighs as little as 1.19kg and offers either a WUXGA panel or a higher resolution 2880×1800 display with 100 percent sRGB coverage. Users can also connect multiple external 4K displays through dual USB-C ports and HDMI.

If flexibility is more your thing, the TravelMate P4 Spin 14 AI adds a 360 degree convertible design and touchscreen support. It even includes a built in stylus, letting the device function as a tablet for note taking, drawing, or presentations.

The TravelMate P2 models focus more on practicality and value. Both the 14 inch TravelMate P2 14 AI and the larger 16 inch TravelMate P2 16 AI support up to 64GB of DDR5 memory and NVMe PCIe Gen4 storage up to 1TB. The bigger screen on the 16 inch model could appeal to users juggling spreadsheets, documents, and multiple windows at once.

Battery charging speeds are fairly respectable too. Acer says the laptops can reach about 80 percent battery in roughly an hour, or about 50 percent in 30 minutes. Optional LTE connectivity is available as well, which could be useful for employees who spend a lot of time working away from Wi-Fi networks.

Like previous TravelMate models, the new laptops are designed to handle life on the road. They meet the MILSTD 810H durability standard and will also be offered in TCO certified versions for organizations trying to meet sustainability targets.

The Acer TravelMate P4 14 AI, TravelMate P4 Spin 14 AI, and TravelMate P2 16 AI are scheduled to arrive in North America starting in June 2026. The TravelMate P2 14 AI is expected around the same timeframe. Acer has not yet announced pricing, and it says final costs will vary depending on region and configuration.
