Pets bring joy, but sadly, they also bring fur, dander, and odors. Blueair, known for its air purification products, apparently thinks it found a new way to make life easier for pet owners. You see, the company has introduced PetAir Pro, a purifier that doesn’t just filter the air, folks, it doubles as a resting spot for your pet.
I’ll be honest, combining a pet bed and an air purifier seems like an odd idea at first glance. But the more I think about it, the cooler it sounds. Instead of having two bulky items taking up room, PetAir Pro saves space by merging them into one. And since pets love lounging anyway, it makes sense to clean the air exactly where they spend the most time.
Unlike traditional purifiers that sit in the corner of a room, PetAir Pro integrates a customizable pet bed on top of the unit. It comes in three bedding options, so cats and dogs can sprawl out while the purifier goes to work right beneath them. Blueair says the device is designed to capture pet hair, dander, and odors right at the source.

Blueair CEO Andy Lu explained the thinking behind it, saying, “Pets are a part of our family, but they come with fur, dander, and odors. Most air purifiers are not built with this in mind. PetAir Pro is more than a purifier. It is thoughtfully designed to give pet parents peace of mind with performance, whisper-quiet operation, and intelligent design.”
At the heart of PetAir Pro is a multi-stage filtration system that goes beyond just trapping particles. Blueair claims its OdorFence technology uses enzymes and minerals to break down pet odors rather than simply masking them. The purifier also incorporates Pet FurLock, which pulls fur into a collection tray to prevent filters from clogging too quickly.
For allergy sufferers, the unit features high-grade H13 HEPA filtration that removes up to 99.9 percent of airborne pollutants, including dander, dust mites, bacteria, and viruses. It’s built for larger spaces too, capable of covering up to 1,301 square feet in about an hour.

To make upkeep less of a chore, PetAir Pro has a RealTrack algorithm that monitors filter usage and reminds owners when it’s time for a replacement. Pet owners can get alerts either on the device itself or through the Blueair app. Emptying the fur collection tray is also designed to be quick and mess-free.
The design even accounts for how animals interact with gadgets. It has a Pet Lock button to prevent accidental paw-presses, and in “Pet Mode,” the fan speed automatically lowers when the device senses that a pet is resting on it. The result is a purifier that runs almost silently, creating a calming environment instead of an intrusive one.
PetAir Pro is available today directly from Blueair for $499.99. While the price tag may make some pet owners hesitate, those looking to save space and improve air quality might find this pet-friendly combo surprisingly practical.
