CodeWeavers has pushed out CrossOver 25.1.0, a welcome update for Linux and Mac users who need to run Windows software. This release focuses on fixing problems that cropped up after recent software changes, along with polishing up game controller support.
If the EA or Ubisoft launchers stopped working for you, that should now be resolved. Controller compatibility also gets a boost, with fixes for wired Xbox gamepads and certain 8BitDo Pro models. For those still having trouble, the developers suggest checking Steam Input settings to get everything working properly.
The compatibility database has been refreshed, so more games should launch without extra setup. Steam users should see better stability, as a bug involving msync that caused downloads to freeze has been fixed. The update also resolves certain Steam connection problems.
Office users benefit too. You see, login issues with Office 365 Outlook are gone, thankfully, and Office 2016 should now run more smoothly on Linux.
Anyone with active support will be prompted to upgrade soon, but the latest version can also be downloaded directly from CodeWeavers.
