Logitech Signature Comfort Plus adds dedicated AI key to new keyboard and mouse lineup

If you spend most of your day planted in front of a computer, Logitech thinks it has some new accessories that might make that a little less miserable.

The company has announced Signature Comfort Plus, a new lineup of keyboards and mice designed around long desk sessions, quieter operation, and easier switching between multiple devices. The new family includes the Signature Comfort Plus M850 L mouse, the MK880 Signature Comfort Plus combo, and the cheaper M840 L mouse.

But let’s be real here. The thing many people will notice first is the dedicated AI key.

Because apparently every tech company now believes keyboards need a shortcut button for AI assistants, Logitech has added a customizable AI Launch Key that can instantly open tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, or Gemini. Whether that is genuinely useful or just another example of the AI craze bleeding into every product category is up for debate. At least Logitech gives users the freedom to customize it instead of forcing one specific platform.

The standout hardware product is probably the M850 L mouse. Logitech says it is the company’s first mouse with built in cushioned palm support. It is designed for people spending long days moving between spreadsheets, browsers, video meetings, messaging apps, and AI tools. The mouse also features a sculpted right-handed design, rubber side grips, silent clicking, silent scrolling, SmartWheel support, and Easy-Switch connectivity for up to three devices.

The M840 L offers a similar experience without the palm cushion for a lower price. Meanwhile, the MK880 combo adds a keyboard with a dual-foam palm rest, curved typing angles, cushioned keys, and adjustable tilt positions.

One thing I actually appreciate is Logitech’s focus on quieter operation. Loud keyboards and noisy mouse clicks get old quickly, especially in apartments, shared offices, or late-night work sessions. Silent clicks may not sound exciting in marketing materials, but they can make a real difference in day-to-day use.

The company is also offering business-focused versions with Logi Bolt USB-C wireless connectivity and Logitech Sync support for centralized IT management. That part is clearly aimed at enterprise deployments rather than home users.

Like most hardware launches these days, there is also a sustainability angle. Logitech says the products contain between 49 percent and 77 percent certified post-consumer recycled plastic depending on the model and color. Packaging uses FSC-certified paper too.

Pricing is fairly reasonable. The M850 L palm cushion mouse costs $49.99, while the MK880 combo lands at $99.99. The M840 L mouse without the cushion sells for $39.99.
