Shark has introduced its most advanced robot vacuum yet, the PowerDetect ThermaCharged 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum and Mop. This new device combines heated mop cleaning and drying with smart PowerDetect sensors for what the company calls “next-level home hygiene.”
The robot uses Shark’s ThermaCharged heated mop wash and dry system, which cleans the mop pad with 185°F water and dries it with 175°F air in its NeverTouch Pro Base. Each cleaning session begins with a freshly washed mop pad, meaning users don’t end up spreading old dirt around the house. The system also empties debris into a 60-day dust bin and automatically refills its water tank.
Shark says the PowerDetect ThermaCharged adapts to real homes with real messes. Its NeverStuck obstacle-climbing tech allows it to move over thresholds up to 0.7 inches, while DryGuard ensures carpets stay completely dry by keeping the mop base behind when vacuuming. The robot navigates rooms using AI-powered object detection, recognizing and avoiding obstacles for a hands-off experience.
The PowerDetect ThermaCharged’s sensors adjust suction based on detected debris and surface type. It can run for up to three hours, making it suitable for larger homes. Shark claims this model represents a real improvement in automated cleaning, using thermal energy to sanitize mop pads between uses and prevent cross-contamination.
The PowerDetect ThermaCharged robot is normally priced at $1,099.99, but Amazon currently has it on sale for $799.99 here.
