TEAMGROUP has announced the T-CREATE EXPERT P34F Find My External SSD, which it says is the first portable solid-state drive with built-in location tracking. This clever drive works with Apple’s Find My app, allowing users to view its location on supported devices and play an audible alert through an internal speaker.

The P34F does not require additional accessories for tracking. It integrates directly with Apple’s system, supporting sound output of up to 60 decibels within about 40 meters in clear conditions. This function is intended to help users recover misplaced devices and reduce the risk of loss.

In terms of design, the SSD weighs 70 grams and is smaller than a credit card. Its body is made from 73 percent zinc alloy, with a metal finish and a lanyard hole for portability. The device connects through a USB 3.2 Gen2x1 Type-C interface and is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Thunderbolt systems.

The P34F is covered by a three-year warranty, while the included USB-C to USB-C cable carries a one-year warranty. TEAMGROUP notes that the product undergoes multiple quality tests and that its packaging is made from FSC-certified materials as part of ongoing sustainability efforts.
