Apple is giving Bengaluru its first official Apple Store, just as India grows in importance as a manufacturing hub for iPhone and other Apple devices. The new location, called Apple Hebbal, opens tomorrow (September 2) and marks the company’s third retail store in the country, joining Apple BKC in Mumbai and Apple Saket in Delhi.

This move is not just about selling gadgets. It is also a reward of sorts. India has been ramping up production of iPhones and related hardware, helping Apple diversify away from China. As the company makes more of its devices in India, it is expanding its presence with stores like this one.

The Hebbal store will offer Apple’s complete lineup, including the new iPhone 16 series, MacBook Pro with the latest M4 chips, iPad Air with Apple Pencil Pro, and the Apple Watch Series 10. Customers will also find accessories such as AirPods 4 and AirTag. For support, the Genius Bar and a personalized setup program will be available. A separate Apple Pickup area is designed to make collecting online orders faster and easier.

Seventy employees, representing 15 states across India, will staff the location. They will help customers with Apple Trade In, financing, and switching to iOS. Apple is also offering its usual free Today at Apple sessions, which range from learning iPhone photography to exploring Apple Intelligence on the newest devices. Business customers will be able to connect with dedicated Business Pros for tailored support.

Like Apple’s other retail spaces, the Hebbal store runs entirely on renewable energy and is carbon neutral. To celebrate the opening, Apple has created exclusive wallpapers and an Apple Music playlist featuring Bengaluru artists.

Bengaluru is known as India’s technology capital, making it a natural choice for Apple’s first South India store. By tying retail expansion to increased local production, Apple is signaling just how critical India has become to its global strategy.
