Nex is back with a fresh batch of games for families looking to stay active indoors this summer. The company has announced its Summer 2025 lineup for the Nex Playground console, and the titles are all about keeping kids moving instead of glued to the couch. The big news? Cookie Monster and Zumba are now part of the party.
First up is Cookie Monster’s Cookie Factory, a colorful puzzle adventure starring the iconic Sesame Street character. Kids will team up with Cookie Monster to sort cookies, spot patterns, and complete fun challenges designed to boost hand-eye coordination and problem-solving. It’s educational, sure, but it doesn’t feel like homework. It’s all about cookies, chaos, and cooperation.
Then there’s Zumba, the fitness craze turned video game. This is the first Zumba game built specifically for Nex Playground and it turns your living room into a dance floor. No wristbands or fitness trackers are needed. Just show up, follow the moves, and let the camera-based motion tracking handle the rest. With unlockable songs, difficulty progression, and real-time scoring, it’s a workout hidden inside a game.
The full summer lineup brings six new titles. Brainy Inc. tosses players into a hectic robot factory where trivia and brain teasers are the only way out. Mingle offers a more relaxed experience with quirky characters and a slower pace. Homerun Heroes: Starstrikers adds fast-paced baseball action for up to four players, and Sword Slash Adventure expands on an earlier title with new monsters, bosses, and gear to unlock.
“We’re looking forward to expanding Nex Playground’s game library with this summer’s diverse and creative lineup,” said David Lee, Nex CEO and co-founder. “From educational puzzles and trivia challenges to sports titles and our first-ever Zumba experience, Nex Playground has the ideal lineup to help keep kids and families stay active throughout the summer.”
Nex Playground is a controller-free game system that turns body movement into play. There’s no internet connectivity, no ads, and no in-game purchases. All data stays on the device, and a physical camera cover ensures privacy. It’s kidSAFE+ COPPA certified, which gives parents a little peace of mind. With over 200,000 units sold since its debut last year, the platform is quickly becoming a favorite among families.
The new summer games begin rolling out in July. They’ll be included as part of the Play Pass content bundle, which is sold separately. The Nex Playground console is available now from Amazon here.
