Perixx PERIMICE-719R vertical mouse finally makes ergonomic comfort work for smaller hands

Let me be honest for a second, folks. Most vertical mice feel like they were designed for giants. If you have smaller hands, using one can feel awkward at best and frustrating at worst. So when I saw what Perixx is doing with the PERIMICE-719R and 719RX, I immediately understood the angle.

This is a vertical mouse, sure, but it is one that actually tries to fit real people.

The PERIMICE-719 series sticks with that familiar “handshake” grip, where your hand sits upright instead of being twisted flat on a traditional mouse. The goal is simple, reduce wrist strain. That’s nothing new. What is new here is the size. Perixx says this model is designed for hand lengths under 18.05cm, which is about 7.1 inches. That might sound oddly precise, but it solves a very real problem.

A lot of ergonomic mice are just too big. Period.

By shrinking things down, Perixx is aiming for better control and less fatigue during long work sessions. Whether you are grinding through emails, editing photos, or just browsing the web, a mouse that actually fits your hand can make a difference.

You get two versions. The PERIMICE-719R ($20) is the standard model, while the PERIMICE-719RX ($26) throws in a wireless charging pad. If you like the idea of dropping your mouse onto a pad instead of plugging in a cable, the RX is the one to look at. Otherwise, both models support USB-C charging, which is exactly what you want in 2026.

Interestingly, that charging pad is not just for the mouse. It supports 7.5W for iPhone, 10W for Samsung devices, and 5W for other gear. So it can double as a general wireless charger sitting on your desk, which is a nice little bonus.

Beyond that, this is a pretty straightforward productivity mouse. You get quiet clicks, which your coworkers or family will appreciate, a rubberized coating for grip, and smooth scrolling. No gimmicks. No unnecessary extras. Just the basics done right.

It works with Windows, macOS, and Android, so you are covered whether you are on a traditional desktop, a MacBook, or even a tablet setup.

Perixx CEO Jonah Liang put it like this: “With the PERIMICE-719 Series, we focused on delivering ergonomic comfort in a size that better fits a wider range of users.” That lines up with what I am seeing here. This is not some wild reinvention of the mouse. It is a practical fix to a very common annoyance.

Now, if you have never used a vertical mouse before, there is a learning curve. Expect it to feel weird for a bit. Give it a week or two. After that, a lot of folks end up preferring it.

Both models are available now on Amazon, and pricing will probably be what nudges you toward one version or the other. The charging pad is nice, but not everyone will care.
