Beats launches stylish MagSafe cases with camera control for new iPhone 17 models

Beats iPhone 17

Beats is expanding its accessory lineup with a fresh collection of cases for Apple’s latest smartphones. The cases, available starting today at apple.com, are designed for iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. They bring a mix of style, protection, and useful features that should appeal to iPhone owners looking for more than just a basic shell.

The Beats iPhone 17 Case with MagSafe & Camera Control is the most straightforward option. Thin, light, and form-fitting, it comes in Granite Gray, Bedrock Blue, Lime Stone, and Pebble Pink. Priced at $45, it offers protection against scratches and drops while keeping fingerprints and smudges to a minimum with its matte finish.

If you want something with extra versatility, the Beats iPhone 17 Kickstand Case with MagSafe & Camera Control might be the better pick. In addition to the same protection and finishes, it includes a removable lanyard that cleverly doubles as a kickstand. The lanyard’s end slides open and attaches to a magnetic point on the side of the case, letting you prop your iPhone up for hands-free landscape viewing. That one will set you back $59.

For those who are hard on their phones, Beats is also offering a Rugged Case with MagSafe & Camera Control. Built with a reinforced polymer backing, extra impact-absorbing sidewalls, and an enclosed bottom, this case is designed to handle drops, tumbles, and plenty of abuse. It has a textured matte finish for extra grip and comes in Everest Black, Rocky Blue, Alpine Gray, and Sierra Orange. At $79, it’s the priciest of the bunch but also the most protective.

All of the new cases are MagSafe compatible and integrate seamlessly with Apple’s Camera Control feature. That means users can mount or detach accessories easily and access advanced camera controls without fumbling. Apple also points out that the packaging is 100 percent fiber-based and made from fully recycled or responsibly sourced wood fibers, aligning with its ongoing environmental goals.

Oliver Schusser, Apple’s vice president of Music, Sports, and Beats, framed the launch as a response to customer demand. He said the company has found that “users crave both style and serious utility,” and the new lineup aims to blend those two elements.

While Apple and Beats pitch these cases as everyday innovations, it’s worth noting that plenty of cheaper options are already on the market. Still, for iPhone buyers who want the official Beats branding, sleek colors, and added perks like Camera Control, these new cases may be worth the premium price.
