Amazfit launches Balance 2 smartwatch and Helio Strap fitness tracker for smarter training and recovery

Amazfit has launched two new wearables. The Zepp Health-owned brand has revealed the Balance 2 smartwatch alongside the Helio Strap. Both can be used on their own, but Amazfit is betting that users will want the full experience by combining the two.

The Balance 2 is the more advanced of the pair. It is built for serious athletes and casual users who want detailed health insights. It features a bright 1.5 inch AMOLED screen covered in scratch-resistant sapphire glass and can push up to 2000 nits of brightness. With 10 ATM water resistance and a battery that lasts up to 21 days, this thing is built to endure just about anything.

There are over 170 sport modes baked in. Whether you run, swim, strength train, or play pickleball, there is a mode for it. There is even support for scuba diving up to 45 meters deep. It also comes with downloadable maps, making it useful for both city runs and outdoor hikes.

Golfers get some extra love too. The Balance 2 includes over 40,000 course maps and swing feedback tools like tempo and plane analysis. No need for a separate golf watch.

For fans of the HYROX fitness race, Amazfit claims it is the only brand offering a smartwatch with three HYROX-specific training modes. These are designed to help athletes prepare and recover more effectively.

Coming soon is something called the BioCharge Score. It will monitor your energy levels throughout the day by pulling data from your workouts, sleep, and even naps. Think of it as your body’s fuel gauge.

The Helio Strap takes a different approach. It has no screen and no distractions. It is meant to quietly track your performance and recovery. You wear it and forget it. It monitors heart rate 24 hours a day and captures advanced metrics without a subscription. It also connects with the Zepp App and Amazfit’s other devices like the Helio Ring and Balance 2.

It supports 27 workout types and includes dedicated tools for strength training and HYROX events. Unlike the Balance 2, the Helio Strap already has the BioCharge Score enabled.

Amazfit’s pitch is pretty simple. Put both devices on and let them work together. All your data stays in one place with no extra apps and no monthly fees. Everything syncs to the Zepp App for a unified view of your health and performance.

Wayne Huang, CEO of Zepp Health, says this combo creates a smarter ecosystem. In his words, the devices fill in each other’s gaps and deliver cross-referenced data for better insights. Whether you are a competitive athlete or just want to improve your health, Amazfit wants to be your new training partner.

Both products are available starting today, June 24. The Balance 2 costs $299.99 and the Helio Strap goes for $99.99. For those who want both, a bundle is being offered for $379.99.
