Reolink Solar Floodlight Cam goes wire-free with solar power and AI

Reolink is back with another security camera. The new Solar Floodlight Cam is exactly what it sounds like, a fully wireless outdoor camera with built-in floodlights that runs on solar power. No wiring, no electrician, and ideally no headaches.

You’re getting a 2K camera here paired with 1000-lumen lights, which should be more than enough to light up a driveway or backyard when something moves. The bigger story, though, is the power setup. It uses a built-in solar panel and a 7,800mAh battery, and Reolink claims just one hour of sunlight can keep it running for a full day. Even more interesting, it says the battery can last up to three months without any solar input. That sounds ambitious, but if it comes close, it could make placement a lot more flexible.

The camera has a 150 degree field of view and uses on-device AI to tell the difference between people, cars, and animals. That’s pretty standard in 2026, but it still matters. Nobody wants constant alerts because a raccoon walked by. You can choose what actually triggers alerts or lighting, which should help keep things from getting annoying. There is also a 110dB siren if you want the camera to do more than just quietly record.

Everything is handled through the Reolink app. You can check the live feed, tweak lighting, get alerts, and even talk through the camera using two-way audio. If you are already in the Reolink ecosystem, it also works with the company’s Home Hub and NVR setups, so you can expand later without starting over.

The timing here is clearly tied to the company’s spring sale. The Solar Floodlight Cam is available now on Amazon for around $92, down from $109.99. For a wire-free setup with lights and AI detection, that price is going to catch some attention.
